Epicentre is some 7 km NNE of the main settlement on the island, Scalasaig. Felt by several people on Colonsay who reported "a moderate rumbling", "it sounded like an explosion", "felt the whole house shake", "the footstool my feet were on was vibrating" and "there was a bang or crashing sound".
