Location is offshore approximately 10 km southwest of Gigha. Felt by a few residents on Gigha, another on Islay and another in Muasdale on the Kintyre peninsula. Reports described "felt a moderate shaking", "heard a slight rumbling sound" and "thought it was thunder but the floor and bed trembled and windows vibrated briefly".
