Felt throughout the region and also felt in Anchorage, approximately 825 km from the epicentre. No reports of damage or casualties have been received at this time.
A destructive tsunami warning was issued after the earthquake but has now been cancelled, however, there is still the possibility of a local tsunami that could affect coastal areas close to the epicentre and areas further from the epicentre could experience small sea level changes and strong or unusual coastal currents.
